所谓的拼分就是把历次考试的单项最高分加在一起。
对于SAT是否有拼分这一说，根据经验，可以这样来看这个问题。
请注意，送分会把你以前所有的分数全部送到学校，也就是说以前的SAT I 和SAT II 分大学都会看到。这一点上SAT, GRE ,GMAT类似，与TOEFL 不同，后者你选择最好的一次就ok。 既然送过去的时候是全盘托出，就是说严格意义上没有拼分。
但是从录取官的角度讲，他会不仅考虑你每次的总分，CR，W, M 的单项也是他要考虑的。你的这种情况送分是必须的，至少让admission officer 看到你的确有过CR 520 的记录，这个时候重要的不单单只是总分了。
举个例子：甲SAT两次， 乙SAT一次，每次都是1900，
甲：第一次 CR 520 M 700 W 680
第二次 CR 450 M 700 W 750
乙：CR 450 M 800 W 650
这种情况下，如果校方更加看重CR和W 单项成绩，那么甲同学可能更具优势。
接受SAT拼分的学校名单列表
Score Choice是College Board用于送成绩的。From Collegeboard: "Score Choice is a score-reporting feature that gives students the option to choose the SAT scores by test date and SAT Subject Test scores by individual test that they send to colleges."
送分有几种形式。大体有三种：
1)Superscore, 大陆地区俗称“拼分”。可以把不是同一次考的单项(math，reading，writing)最好成绩作为SAT的总成绩。Super Score是一些大学AO用于Evaluate Applicant的方法。
2)Highest single sitting，可以挑最好的一次送，但必须是同一天考的。
3)All scores，全送，不能挑。很多大藤要求送all scores，但他们只在所有考试中选最好的同一天考试的那一次。如普林斯顿的官方网站：
Applicants are welcome to use the score choice option for standardized test score submission. Princeton will consider the highest individual section results across all sittings of the SAT Reasoning and the highest composite score for the ACT with Writing, as well as the two highest SAT Subject Test scores.
