美国从4月30日起将很快取消手工填写I94表（白卡），改为电子化表格。各地实施时间稍有先后。各位在飞机上不再需要准备笔填表了。只在入境时在护照上盖章注明日期。而且随之而来的好处是入境两天就可以申办SSN，不需要等待10天以上了。不过从加拿大和墨西哥陆路进入的还是要填写的。

Starting today, April 30th, non-immigrant visa holders traveling to and fromthe U.S. will begin to experience significant changes to the I-94 issuance andcollection process.  Please read the following informationthoroughly:
Starting today, April 30th, Customs and Border Protection (CBP) is beginning tophase in a change to their I-94 issuance and collection process* which will nolonger require international non-immigrant visitors to fill out a paper FormI-94 Arrival/Departure Record upon arrival to the U.S. by air or sea.  The agency will gather information automatically from their electronictravel records.  This change will be phased in throughout the nextfew weeks.   Logan International Airport in Boston is scheduled tomove to this new process the week of May 7, 2013.  For additionalinformation about this change and the implementation schedule for different portsof entry, please refer to CBP's website.
* Note that the I-94 issuance process will NOT change at land border port ofentry for those traveling to the U.S. by land from Canada andMexico.  CBP will still issue a paper form I-94 at those ports.

The form I-94 is termed as the "collection of arrival/departure andadmission or parole information by DHS, whether in paper or electronic format,which is made available to the person about whom the information has beencollected, as may be prescribed by Department of Homeland Security."(Federal Registrar 1.4 Definition of Form I-94)
With the new process, a CBP officer will stamp the travel document (ex:passport) of the non-immigrant traveler.  This stamp will reflect thedate of admissions, class of admissions, date the traveler is admitteduntil.  Travelers will also receive a flier that contains informationon how to receive their admission record information atCBP.gov/I94.  
Non-Immigrants needing to provide a paper I-94 card for purposes for applyingfor a driver license, Social Security Number, completion of I-9 for employmentverification, validation of SEVIS record, etc. will be able to go toCBP.gov/I94 to receive this information starting on April 30, 2013.
